Sun-tea is no new idea but it’s a very easy way to make a large amount of tea with very little effort, especially during those hot summer months.
This recipe is just a general overview of how to make sun-tea with loose leaf tea, giving you the opportunity to use whichever tea leaves you wish to use.
Here I go into tools you need, ingredients, and step by step instructions to make a half gallon of sun-tea.
Let’s Dive in…

That’s It!
Sun-tea is a classic sign of summer and a great way to use up some of the herbs you are growing in your garden.
I usually use a big mix of herbs like lemon balm, chamomile, dandelion, and mint in my kitchen.
I have even shoved a few fresh pieces of fruit like peaches or berries in a few batches also.
It’s a flexible recipe.
