Home:

Here in Michigan, we are finally on the final countdown to planting out gardens. So I decided to deep clean my kitchen one last time before gardening season takes over!

It feels good to take control of your kitchen and I especially made space for all my canning items in there.

I also tried to streamline everything. I thankfully have a basement where I can store all my things that don’t get used every day which means I can keep my small kitchen filled with items that are used daily.

It helps one’s stress level when you’re not fumbling over random stuff when your busy at night trying to make dinner.

My weekly canning goals are to resume next week.

Garden:

I have started to harden off some of the seedlings. Although some are already sunburnt a bit, I am thankful to get some of them out of the basement!

I grabbed clearance off violas and pansies for the deck.

If you keep violas in afternoon shade, they should bloom all summer.

My big box store had them marked 75% off already which was a win for me. I grabbed 14 little boxes up for 50 cents each. It’s enough to keep the deck pretty this summer.

We are about to rototill up the vegetable garden! I can’t wait to get all my seedlings out of my basement and into the ground and growing.

Our duck house is almost finished being built by my husband and the ducks will live in the gardens.

We ordered an Omelet Chicken coop which should be here soon too. (more on that later)

I am also going to make a video on Olle Garden raised beds soon! They are awesome but making videos takes me a while to do so thank you for your patience.
